Now, after reading a sample or 2 from the link provided, you can now start making your own thesis or thesis statement. You have to remember that in making a thesis or thesis statement, it has to be concise. Quality is way much better than quantity. And of course, the outcome of the thesis will be best when the chosen topic will be the once that you love most, or your intrigued in something that you are dying to know. It would be a lot more fun if you make it that way. So now, when you are going to start, read along these quick but detailed helpful tips on how to choose a topic and how to make a thesis. Reply:The thesis statement is the idea that the rest of the paper will reinforce. Choose something you can defend.

Pride and Prejudice reflects the ways to which an oppressed class - in this case women - works to achieve its goals.

Pride and Prejudice portrays a very narrow view of the England of its time.

Pride and Prejudice is a mirror of its times.

Pride and Prejudice shows us the importance of dress in defining social status.

Pride and Prejudice reflects the crippling importance of status in the middle class.

Make your statement then look for examples. You might compare England of the day with other countries; you might contrast this book with one like Tom Jones; you might draw parallels to family life today.

The trick is not to know everything, but to choose a topic you can handle concisely.
