Reply:Iam not nor have i been in a family that was.But i do have lots of friends and familys of them.I also work in a restraunt.People with this problem and i do call it a desease a drug also of sorts. Can be cured.I've seen it happen and still praying for them who it has not happened for yet.Its the loved ones of these people its the friends of familys its the familys themselfs. Its the excuses that need to be made for them and the hopefully understanding. One has to be really strong and want to do it for themselfs.Only by fixing you can you fix others.Continue to stay strong mean what you say and say what you mean and by all means follow through with what you say get perfessional help. And dont do what it is that your helping the other to quit. Drink free partys places dinners PEOPLE esp.All the best in your search.May God guide you and help you help others God Bless

Reply:Why not look at the devastating effects upon the family system, especially the children? Children of Alcoholic's are so distinctive in how they have been affected that there is a ton of material out there.
Reply:That it is a disease,That it is only the person who has this disease is who should be responsible for their actions no one is to blame,That only the one who drinks is the person that can say they are alcoholic.

I have found the only way to determine if you have a problem,is to be honest with yourself, and if it ,alcohol causes a problem in any area of your life, they probably have the disease.
